Textbooks
Textbooks are issued to students by the library at the beginning of the school year. Upon returning books, any damage will be subject to reimbursement. Any book checked out to a student becomes the personal responsibility of the student and must be either returned or paid for when books are collected. Payment will be refunded if a lost book is subsequently returned.
Students who deface textbooks, or school property will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the textbook or item or any costs incurred by the school district in the course of clean up or repair of damages (Education Code 48904 a1).
STUDENTS WHO HAVE MISSING BOOKS OR OTHER PROPERTY FINES MAY NOT RECEIVE THEIR YEARBOOKS AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PART IN YEAR-END ACTIVITIES UNTIL ALL CHARGES HAVE BEEN CLEARED. THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO STUDENTS’ PERSONAL MATERIALS
