GATE

GATE students at Travis Ranch Elementary are clustered within the regular education program, with teachers trained in instructional differentiation. We aim to allow each student to fully develop their abilities and interests while maintaining a sense of class community. The cluster program enables our GATE students to remain at their school site yet pursue content standards at an elevated level. Strategies such as Kaplan's "Depth & Complexity Icons" are used.  

For GATE students, teachers may differentiate content, processes/strategies, products, and assessments.

In addition to differentiating within the regular classroom, Travis Ranch offers our elementary GATE students additional enrichment at our after-school GATE Academy.
